Research team
The team gathers researchers from various generations as well as scientific competencies and professional trajectories, among which the first director of GAVE, responsible for Portugal’s participation in the 2000, 2006 and 2006 cycles. As for consultants, these include the researchers responsible for the first study on Literacy in Portugal (Benavente et al. 1996), later politically responsible for Portugal’s participation in PISA, and a Brazilian researcher of INEP, the agency responsible for this Latin American country’s participation in PISA. The project takes advantage of the knowledge produced within the RIAIPE Network, where these issues have been the object of local and national studies.
