Final Conference of the PISA_PT brings together 200 participants

The final conference of the project A success story? Portugal and PISA (2000-2018), funded by FCT – the Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology,  organized in a hybrid format, gathered around 200 participants.

The results of the PISA_PT project were subjected to critical scrutiny by other national and foreign researchers who have addressed the issue of the regulation of educational policies through the so-called International Large-Scale Assessments (ILSA), of which PISA is the most iconic representative.

The conference was attended by the Director of CeiED and Principal Investigator (PI) of the project, António Teodoro, the co-PI Vítor Duarte Teodoro, Lusófona University, the consultants Ana Benavente, Lusófona University, and João Horta Neto, Anísio Teixeira, National Institute for Educational Studies and Research, the research team and the keynote speakers Elsa Estrela, Lusófona University and project researcher, Bertrand Daunay and Daniel Bart, Université de Lille, Gil Nata, Faculdade de Psicologia e Ciências da Educação da Universidade do Porto, Luís Miguel Carvalho, Instituto de Educação da Universidade de Lisboa, Romuald Normand, Université de Strasbourg, and also João Costa, NOVA FCSH and Assistant Secretary of State and of Education (XXI and XXII Governments).

The speakers and the research team then met for a convivial dinner, and on February 17 for an informal meeting to reflect on new common initiatives to be developed in the future.
